About Jane
At 19 years old, when I first had a massage at a naturopathic clinic, I knew that, some day, I wanted to be involved in complementary therapy - the difference to my sense of wellbeing, physical comfort and mood was remarkable! I trained at St Barts Hospital in London and, after a varied nursing career, I then trained in massage in 1989. I went on to train in a whole range of other bodywork and energy-based practices including Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Reiki, Shiatsu and Qigong.
Contact Me
I was already trained as a general nurse. My involvement in complementary therapies began when I first moved to Norfolk over 30 years ago. I followed a natural progression through bodywork and energy-based practices including aromatherapy, reflexology, reiki moving onto practices based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) like shiatsu and qigong.
Alongside these, I studied hypnotherapy and M technique (working on the skin nerve receptors, which tells the brain to encourage the body to let go and relax). Having worked with a variety of therapies enables me to offer an individualised approach drawing on my various skills to address my client’s needs in a calm relaxing environment.
I have a special interest in women’s health, fertility and pregnancy.
My burning ambition was to combine my nursing knowledge and my many therapy skills, and I achieved this when I became the first complementary therapy co-ordinator employed at the Specialist Palliative Care Centre in Norwich. I had worked hard to prepare for this by travelling the country to study the provision of therapies for a cancer care setting, without knowing whether such a job would ever become available, so I was over the moon to be working there.
I was awarded the highest accolade of FHT Complementary Therapist of the year 2018 for the work that I did in developing this service, and one of the achievements of which I am most proud is that complementary therapists were subsequently employed by the NHS.
I also practice Hypnotherapy and teach the M Technique and Yoga.
For many years I have had a special interest in working with women’s health, from fertility and pregnancy to menopause. I am passionate about helping women to manage these periods in their lives, enabling them to feel relaxed, empowered, and able to improve their own health and wellbeing - and I enjoy running a busy clinic doing just that.
I specialise in reflexology to support women experiencing issues with fertility and to support women through pregnancy and to help women manage anxiety in pregnancy and to have a positive birth experience.
I also work with all aspects of family health, including children, teenagers, fertility, pregnancy and menopause, the elderly and palliative care.
I feel so lucky to be able to spend my time doing work that I love
